tree planting on Orchard Street

When the city removed some dead and dying trees on Orchard Street several years ago, some large gaps were left in the formerly tree-lined street. The city replaced a few, but it did not have the budget to replace them all. Quality Forward, a local environmental and beautification organization, agreed to replant throughout Orchard Street at a very low cost to us. The planting was initially delayed by last year's drought, but the first round of planting went forward a few weeks ago. There's another round planned for later in the season. Take a walk by Orchard Street to enjoy the new foliage!
