We want to extend a special thank-you to Glenn Satterfield, who has been keeping Enka Park mowed all summer. It's a hot job with no pay, and he's kept the park looking great! If you see him, be sure to thank him for the hard work!
Also, the plants and trees that went in with the new sign are still alive, despite the heat and drought. They've been surviving through the hard work of folks who've been willing to head down to the park with buckets and coolers of water over the summer. We currently have a rotation of Enka Village residents who have volunteered to continue watering, but we could always use more neighbors to share the task! Our goal is to keep these plants watered until we start seeing more rain or until the heat eases off. These are hardy plants that won't require much maintenance once they get a good start, so this should be a short-term chore! If you can take a shift or two, please contact Amber Cook at ambercook714@yahoo.com.
